Platinum Series Fanfold Re-Siding Underlayment
Insulated siding makes sense to make your home more energy efficient. However, there are many problems that arise when installing a material that may be over 1.5 inches thick. This causes havoc with moldings around windows and corners. It also drastically limits your style and color choices.
Thankfully there is an alternative that gives you the same additional R-Value without the negative affects of a very thick material. We can wrap your home with a 3/8” Fanfold Reflective Residing Underlayment material. This extruded polystyrene underlayment provides improved R-value and a solid, level base for new siding. A clear plastic film laminate provides strength at the “cut and fold” hinge so that the panel lays flat against the wall.
- Perforations eliminate trapping of water vapor behind the panel
- Highly resistant to cracking, denting and tearing
- Low moisture absorption
- Flexible -- bends easily around corners without cracking
- Pre-printed grid lines ensure accurate installation
- Available in 1/4” and 3/8” thicknesses
- Available in 3/8“ thickness with reflective facer to deflect solar energy

It provides exceptional insulating properties, with up to 5 times the R-value of conventional insulation. So you enjoy significantly lower heating and cooling bills. It also keeps your siding looking new by keeping it from sagging, denting or being pulled off the wall by high winds. Plus, it keeps your home quieter. It won’t rattle and provides a barrier against outside
